Studio 3E
Studio 3E at LJ Works is one of Grooveschool’s two dedicated creative studio spaces in South London.
The studio combines DJ and music production facilities with a dedicated recording booth, creating a flexible environment for making, recording and developing music.
It is used for Grooveschool programmes, creative mentoring, workshops and training, alongside selected external creative work and studio hire.

The combination of production, DJ and recording facilities means sessions can move between learning, experimenting, recording and developing finished creative work.
The Space
Studio 3E is designed as a welcoming, working creative environment rather than a traditional classroom.
Its DJ and production setup supports practical, hands-on learning, while the dedicated recording booth provides opportunities to develop experience in vocal recording and studio production.
The space can support individual sessions, small groups, workshops and creative projects, allowing participants to develop skills and confidence while becoming increasingly independent in how they use the studio.
Creative Training & Progression
Studio 3E is both a creative workspace and a training environment.
Participants can begin through supported sessions and gradually develop the skills, confidence and responsibility to work more independently, contribute to projects and support activity within the studio.
This reflects the wider Grooveschool approach: learning through participation in real creative environments and creating opportunities for people to progress from taking part towards contributing, collaborating and taking greater responsibility.
Best Suited For
Studio 3E is particularly suited to DJing, music production, vocal recording, creative mentoring, workshops, training and small-scale creative projects.
The space is used by Grooveschool participants and programme partners, as well as artists, producers, educators and community organisations through selected studio hire.

Income from studio hire directly supports Grooveschool’s charitable work and helps widen access to creative opportunities.
