Grooveschool
FUNDED & PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS
Collaborative creative programmes developed with funders, local authorities, charities, schools and community partners.
Funded & Partnership Projects
Partnerships allow us to respond to community need, widen access and create opportunities that would not otherwise exist.
Grooveschool works with funders, local authorities, charities, schools, community organisations and creative partners to develop programmes around shared priorities and identified needs.
Projects combine creative activity with mentoring, participation and progression. Depending on the partnership, this might involve music, podcasting, digital media, creative wellbeing, re-engagement, youth leadership or pathways into the creative industries.
Each partnership is different, but the approach remains consistent: creating inclusive environments where people can participate meaningfully, build confidence, develop skills and discover opportunities to progress.
How Partnership Projects Work
Funded and partnership projects are developed collaboratively around the people, communities and outcomes the project aims to support.
We work with:
– Schools and education providers
– Local authorities
– Charities and community organisations
– Arts and culture funders
– Trusts and foundations
– Corporate and industry partners
– Youth and referral services
– Creative organisations and practitioners
Projects may respond to:
– Barriers to education and participation
– SEND and neurodivergent inclusion
– Mental health and wellbeing
– Youth voice and leadership
– Creative-industry progression
– Community connection and social inclusion
– Access to creative spaces, equipment and professional experiences
We work with partners to shape appropriate delivery, outcomes and progression opportunities rather than applying a single programme model to every setting.
What Partnership Projects Can Include
Depending on the community, partnership and funding, projects can include:
– 1-to-1 and small-group creative mentoring
– DJing, music production and recording
– Podcasting and audio production
– Photography, film and digital media
– Creative wellbeing programmes
– Re-engagement and targeted interventions
– Creative-industry programmes
– Youth-led projects and leadership opportunities
– Performances, showcases and public creative outputs
– Volunteering, work experience and progression pathways
– Practitioner and collaborative learning opportunities
Projects can be short-term interventions or develop into longer-term relationships and pathways through Grooveschool.
Current & Recent Partnerships
Our partnership work demonstrates the different ways the Grooveschool approach can respond to communities, opportunities and identified needs.
Lambeth Made: Create Your Future
Working with Lambeth Council to deliver a summer creative-industries programme introducing young people to music production, DJing, podcasting, photography, film and digital media alongside creative-industry experiences and progression opportunities.

What’s Going On
Developed through our relationship with 3Space and the community around International House, bringing community organisations, practitioners and individuals into The ArcHive Studio for conversations around creativity, wellbeing, community and social change.
Previous Collaborations
Our wider partnership history includes work with schools, youth services, referral organisations and creative/community partners including Juvenis, CGL and Deaf Rave, alongside projects supporting young people with different needs, interests and experiences.
Progression Beyond the Project
A funded project can provide the first point of contact with Grooveschool, but wherever possible we aim for the relationship to continue beyond the funding period.
Participants may progress into our regular studio activity, further creative projects, volunteering, work experience, internships, leadership or opportunities with partner organisations.
This continuity matters. Rather than treating each funded project as an isolated intervention, we aim to connect people into a wider creative community and create meaningful next steps.
Where We Deliver
We deliver partnership projects across:
– Our South London studios
– Schools and colleges
– Alternative Provision settings
– Youth and community organisations
– Partner venues and community spaces
Our main creative bases are Studio 3E at LJ Works, Loughborough Junction and The ArcHive Studio at International House, Brixton.
Mobile creative equipment can also be provided where appropriate.
Impact & Reporting
We work with partners to agree appropriate outcomes and understand what meaningful progress looks like within each project.
Depending on the programme, this may include:
– Participation and attendance
– Increased creative confidence
– Communication and self-expression
– Wellbeing and sense of belonging
– New creative and digital skills
– Responsibility and leadership
– Completed creative work and real-world experience
– Continued engagement and positive progression
We can provide attendance tracking, participant feedback, case studies, creative outputs and appropriate qualitative and quantitative reporting.
Our approach to evaluation recognises that progression is not always linear and that meaningful change can look different for every participant.
